The tents are thick & solid and after several days of storms, they turn out to be great even in heavy rain and storms! Good to keep in mind however, is that you sleep outdoors and that it can get chilly when colder weather. In addition to blankets, we also have heating fan, but some choose to sleep in undergarments. Also the opposite - if extreme heat comes, it will of course be hot in the tents.
The tents have mosquito nets so you can sleep with the door open but avoid the mosquitoes.
You live out in nature, so there may be small visitors in the form of all nature's insects. The tents are cleaned before you arrive but you never know if anyone will find their way inside and they are easy to miss!
Despite the tranquility of the garden and the environment, all noises seem to get amplified in the tents; the sheep, neighbours and the traffic on road 34 even though it is 300m away. We leave earplugs in each room for anyone not being used to this ; ).
Our line in this is to try and keep Sörby Glamping according to the recycling principle. The tents, pillows, solar lamps etc are new, but most other things have been recycled in one way or the other. We use organic products as much as possible, soap, detergent, breakfast items etc. We use to be organic farmers!
Tillväxt Motala wrote this about us:
Sörby farm is first mentioned as early as 1269. ’Nikolaus in Sörby'. In 1860 Count Posse had a new manor house built when Göta Canal was dug, designed by the famous castle architect Abraham Nyström.
We are here for questions & feedback. Since we are new in the field, feel free to talk to us personally if something doesn't work or feel good, we will make our best to accommodate you in the best way we possibly can!

Göta Canal’s greatest attraction is Berg Locks. During the summer thousands of boats pass along the Göta Canal and it really is a spectacle to see how the water mass streams through the locks. The fantastic Carl Johan staircase, with its 7 connected locks raises or lowers the boats a full 18.8 meters between Lake Roxen and Berg Guest Harbour, and is also the longest lock staircase in the Göta Canal. In Berg there are two more double locks, the Oscar lock and the Berg Lock.
