Brunneby is a beautiful mansion situated next to the channel. In 1941, the farm's brewery was started, which since then has processed berries and fruits into juice, juice, cider, jelly and jam.

Göta Canal’s greatest attraction is Berg Locks. During the summer thousands of boats pass along the Göta Canal and it really is a spectacle to see how the water mass streams through the locks. The fantastic Carl Johan staircase, with its 7 connected locks raises or lowers the boats a full 18.8 meters between Lake Roxen and Berg Guest Harbour, and is also the longest lock staircase in the Göta Canal. In Berg there are two more double locks, the Oscar lock and the Berg Lock.

Borensberg - Berg
The big white boats always attract attention when they glide along the Göta canal. The biggest of them just fit in the locks, so watching them lock is a real spectacle. On the map below, you can follow all the passenger boats that operate in the Göta canal, and thus find out if and when they pass right where you are. You can also see the cycle boats across Lake Vättern and Lake Asplången on the map.
Take the opportunity to make a stop at Cloetta in Ljungsbro. In the store you will find a full range of Cloetta's popular products. The store is adjacent to Cloetta's chocolate factory in Ljungsbro, which was built in 1901 by the Cloetta brothers.

Kolmården is the largest zoo in the Nordic countries and also one of the largest in the world. Here live over 60 different species divided by types and origin. The park's areas have names like 'Birds of Prey, Savannah, Safari, Asia, Colosseum, Desert, Tiger World, and Marine World. Sheep and goats live on the 'Children Farm'. Bamse's world is for the small ones. Take the cable car high over the Safari section where you can see lions, giraffes, antelopes, bears, moose and deer.
Wildfire is a wooden roller coaster which is both the fastest wooden coaster in Europe, and second tallest wooden coaster in the world.

The castle in Vadstena is one of the more stunning ones in Sweden. Surrounded by a moat and with high walls, it is possible to imagine the massive defensive forces that protected the castle once upon a time. The castle was built by the Swedish king Gustav Vasa in 1545-1555 and it has been rebuilt several times.
Vadstena Slott was reconstructed as a renaissance castle in 1620 and today it is one of the best-preserved castles of its kind in Sweden. Visitors can visit both the inner yard as well as the castle itself.
